The MidCountry Bank Core Values Award recognizes graduating seniors who have demonstrated distinguished volunteer involvement in our communities and whose personal character reflects the core values that are woven into the fabric of our organization: integrity, fairness, honesty, compassion and excellence.
Local Giving
The Fall is a great season for food, fun and festivities so we hosted open houses where we gathered recipes for our cookbook. The cookbook contains over 450 recipes from customers, friends, and co-workers with many of them including a memory and/or tradition which are now passed on to purchasers of the book. We hope that it will become a tradition for others as well. Each branch chose a charity from their local community to donate the net proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks. Three individuals from the Galatia Community School District accepting a donation from employees Ron Gibbons and Dorothy Ruzich participated. Our people are the ingredients and our values are the recipe for good customer service, and that’s what we promise to serve up every day.
Rebuilding Together
In honor of Military Appreciation Month, MidCountry employees helped a family in need. Volunteers including MidCountry Bank employees, family and friends helped with the rehab of a Army veteran's home in Minneapolis. Thanks to everyone who participated.
The employees and family members of MidCountry Bank Metropolis Illinois also participate in Rebuilding Together. These volunteers have been recognized by their local communities for outstanding involvement in giving back to the community.
Rebuilding Together Twin Cities (RTTC) is a non-profit volunteer organization that puts homeowners in need together with people willing to lend a hand. Partnering with social service agencies and neighborhoods, Rebuilding Togehter Twin Cities rehabilitates and repairs homes at no charge to homeowners accepted into the program. They work with low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly, disabled and families with children, so they may continue to live in warmth and safety, and with independence. Since its inception, some 2.5 million volunteers working 24 million volunteer hours have repaired 96,120 houses and non-profit facilities.
